In one sitting...

Well, I bought Deathly Hallows today, then I came home and read it.

It was surprisingly good. In fact, I was astonished how well she managed to tie up the loose ends more observant Potter fans had noticed. I knew she was good, but not that good.

In other news, we've managed to lose our camera. Isn't that crazy? We have a decent DSLR, and we can't find it for anything.

Well done, reading it. I'm glad you liked it although I'm disappointed to see your astonishment at its quality.

;-)

And that might be the first smiley I've ever used in a comment.

I am impressed with any parent that can sit down and read an entire book in under a month...let alone a day. I need to read books three and on. I will soon have some time to do as I please and might just do some reading. Right now I can't even use the bathroom without interruption...I am jealous of your reading a whole book!

P.S. I am glad to know that I am not the only one with a camera that decides to go on sobatical when I could really use it.

Shan, there were some definite plot holes, and perhaps some contrivances in the book. But it did clear up some things, although it left some characters woefully underdeveloped. I read the book in a single five-hour session, so I'm not going to swear I didn't miss anything, but there are certainly some gaps.

tfj, before I was married, I would do 8-hour reading sits all the time. Once I got married, I had to learn to rein in my self-centered habits. I very rarely read novels at all anymore. Our kids are now old enough that they like to curl up with a book too; except the youngest. Ames treated me to uninterrupted reading time yesterday: she brought me a tea tray for supper, just so I wouldn't have to get off the couch. She's given me a "day off" with the last couple Harry Potter books.

Her price, you see, is far above rubies.

Oh, and Ames found the camera this morning. Ain't she great?

Gwen- That was a knee-slapper.

Ox--you are so dreamy.
