This is the one Gwen posted a while ago. I thought I'd go ahead and answer. Of course, ames cooks differently than I do, so her answers would be different.
Culinary Meme
Most used gadget: Coffee maker. Or maybe that little handle that lifts the grates off my grill.
Most used item in the whole kitchen: Hmmm... would be my grill, but that's outside. In the kitchen, my Henckels 9-inch Chef's knife.
Last time I cooked for a crowd: Last Friday night, grilled porkchops for eleven.
Who had the most influence on my cooking: Bobo
Most used spice: Garlic---fresh or powdered: they both have their place
Favourite ice cream: Denali Bear Claw
Coffee... ground or whole beans? Whole beans
Peanut Butter... crunchy or smooth? Crunchy
Pet peeve in someone else's kitchen: Trying to use a paring knife for real work.
Too many in the freezer: chicken legs
Wine... white or red: Usually red: Spanish Grenache or Zinfandel
Evian water? "Evian" is "naive" spelled backwards. I do like Pellegrino mit Gasse
Favourite fruit: raspberries
Vegetable I hate: brussels sprouts
Food mispronunciation that grinds my gears: None really.
Favourite sandwich: Salami, ham, capicola, lettuce, tomato, onions, provalone, Italian dressing on a Hero roll
Indispensable condiment: Cholula Sauce
Seafood? Kosher: fins & scales
Salsa... with or without cilantro? Without
Carbs: Huh? What kind of stupid question is that? Today for lunch I had baked meat ravioli and half a (small) loaded pizza...

WHOSE 9-inch Henkel? Confusion abounds over these knives. Gwen thinks she bought them. And, I thought they were mine. And, Shan is still trying to get her heart rate back to normal.
Come now, you can come up with one mispronunciation that grinds your gears.
Darned good chops, too. Mr. Ox. I can barely wait for the next Rib-Fest.
I've finally realized that Bobo made those wonderful mashed potatoes with TONS of salt in the boiling water. Give it a try.
Not really into mashed potatoes, sorry. Of course there are some things that require mashed potatoes: turkey, roasted chicken & gravy. But pretty much everything else I prefer with my potatoes intact.
Dude... time to come home.
The mispronunciation does require a bit of thought...
Mine might be foe-kAHHHshah bread. Especially when I order it, properly pronounced, in a restaurant and the waiter/trix corrects me.
Or no, wait: it bugs me when Ian says "dethaw" instead of "defrost".
Hmm...
I REALLY get my panties in a wad when I hear "as per usual" or any other "as per...". And I hate it when people say "I could care less" rather than "I couldn't care less", but I generally don't care too much about pronunciation.
Oh wait! I don't eat guacamole, but it's pronounced "WAH-ka-MOAL-ay", not "gWAH-ka-MOAL".
And "calzone" is supposed to have three syllables, not two.
That one does annoy me.
"Interact" instead of "Interac."
"Irregardless."
Yes but we're straying from the point. The point is food, and I've got a good one.
MAR-scah-pOHn.
MA-SCAR-PONAY, PEOPLE!!
I'm going to steal this meme. I had no idea this place was so happening, or that you had a link to my blog. I'm going to get that rectified and reciprocated soon!
Oh, and phood mistpronunshiashun peeve: parmesan
It is Italian people! It's said "parma-zhan."
King Jaymz, of course this is a happening place. We only let cool people hang out here. Welcome to the club.
Thanks, Ames. Much obliged.
