My parents will be in town for a couple weeks: they arrive this weekend. I always get excited when family comes to town: both my parents and one of my sisters have visited over the last 14 years, and their arrivals are always events for me.
I'm particularly looking forward to my dad coming down this time: we don't talk a whole lot on the phone, and I'm very excited about taking the canoe out with him.
And now it's May: my last day on this gig is June 30; only two months left! Then we pack up and head home.
Lots going on.

I've started my mental packing in earnest now.
I really think we need to aim for a Morton Lake campout this summer.
Sign me up.
Yeah, Gwen. We really need to do that because it'll be JUST LIKE it used to be.
I mean JUST LIKE.
Anybody remember seven days of rain? Upside was, we had the entire site to ourselves. All 3000 dripping trees.
Good times.
Seriously though, I'm in.
And I think I should take this opportunity to say again, since it seems to rankle, that I'm sorry we never came to visit you. I do wish we had.
Shan, Ox and I will think of some way you can repay us for the pain you have caused us.
Shan, we can do it, as long as we don't forget to pack Uno, Mastermind and Monopoly.
I would think Rat-A-Tat-Cat and Sleeping Queens would go a long way to keeping us from total boredom disaster. Of course, it's not a camping trip to Morton Lake without Centerburg Tales and The Magician's Nephew.
